Pastoral Ministry Internship

About the Program

This internship is a program designed to encourage and equip men who aspire to serve in vocational ministry. This 12-week program provides first-hand experience, feedback, and instruction to a man who is pursuing pastoral ministry as God's calling on his life.

Requirements

• Professed faith in Christ and been baptized
• Member in good standing of local church
• Aspire to serve Christ in pastoral ministry
• Cultivating character qualities seen 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1
• Strong work ethic and teachable spirit
• Agree with Baptist Faith & Message (2000) & Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy

Responsibilities

• Work 25 hours/wk (including 10-15 on site, including Sundays & Wednesdays)
• Meet weekly with pastoral staff, having completed all assigned reading prior
• Plan and prepare studies/sermons
• Attend various church meetings (e.g., Members Meeting, Church Council, Deacons, etc.)
• Lead at least one Bible Study and preach one sermon during this program
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the pastor

Compensation

• $3,000 ($250/wk for 12 weeks) flat salary (reported on W-2)
• No Healthcare, Retirement, Or Any Other Additional Benefits
