Pastor of Preaching and Equipping
Monument Point Fellowship (MPF) is seeking a Pastor of Preaching and Equipping to join our pastoral leadership team and serve alongside our founding Senior Pastor and Elders. MPF is a conservative Southern Baptist church established in 1986. After nearly 40 years of faithful ministry, our founding Senior Pastor is prayerfully transitioning toward retirement. We are seeking a man who can come alongside him during this season of transition, assume significant preaching and leadership responsibilities, and intentionally prepare to become the church’s next Senior Pastor.
About the Role
This role involves preaching, equipping the congregation, and leadership development as part of a pastoral transition plan. The selected candidate will work closely with the founding Senior Pastor and Elders to ensure continuity of vision and ministry.
Responsibilities
- Preach regularly during Sunday worship services and other gatherings.
- Provide pastoral leadership and support to the congregation.
- Equip and disciple church members for ministry and spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Elders in strategic planning and transition efforts.
- Prepare to assume the role of Senior Pastor in the future.
Requirements
- Alignment with the Southern Baptist Convention’s doctrinal statement.
- Proven preaching and teaching ability.
- Experience in pastoral leadership and church ministry.
- Commitment to conservative biblical values and church tradition.
- Willingness to relocate to the Jacksonville area.
