Pastor/Minister

We are seeking a full-time, ordained, non-Calvinist, Southern Baptist pastor for Pine Branch Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, NC.

About the role

The new pastor will serve as preacher, teacher, shepherd, overseer, servant, visionary, and steward of Christ’s church and its members. They will lead the church into the next season God has for Pine Branch Baptist Church.

Responsibilities

• Serve as preacher and teacher
• Oversee the spiritual growth and development of the congregation
• Lead worship services and other church events
• Develop and implement church programs and ministries
• Support local, state, national, and international missions

Requirements

• Ordained in the Southern Baptist denomination
• Strong theological background
• Experience leading a church or similar organization
• Ability to preach and teach effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to support local, state, national, and international missions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theology or related field
• Master's degree in Theology preferred
• At least 5 years of pastoral experience
• Knowledge of the King James Version of the Bible

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong leadership abilities
• Ability to manage church finances and resources
• Experience with church administration and operations
