About the role

McKinleyville Baptist Church (mckinleyvillebaptist.com) is seeking a full-time Pastor who will preach expository, Christ-centered sermons and help our church body continue to grow in loving God and one another.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and planning for worship services
• Preach weekly expository sermons on Sunday morning
• Cook up other ministries and gatherings including Sunday evenings and mid-week Bible studies
• Coordinate other ministries and gatherings including Sunday evenings and mid-week Bible studies
• Provide spiritual leadership in all areas of church life and function
• Provide pastoral care to members including visitations, counseling, discipleship, prayer, funerals, etc.

Qualifications

• Pastoral experience: Prior ministry experience preferred
• Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Bible/theology. A Master’s degree from an accredited seminary preferred
• Spiritual Gifts: Preaching, teaching, shepherding, leadership

Benefits

• Compensation & Benefits: Salary Package: Annual total package of $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience
• Vacation: 3 weeks
