Qualifications

• Demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9)
• Seminary degree preferred
• Skills in preaching, teaching, counseling, and pastoral care
• Ability to engage with Bible Scripture and communicate its truths effectively
• Heart for evangelism, discipleship, and fostering spiritual growth among congregants

Responsibilities

• Preaching and Teaching
• Serving as a spiritual leader, sharing congregation's joys and supporting its sorrows and burdens
• Leading Christian education programs, Vacation Bible School, and special programs
• Providing pastoral care, including weddings, funerals, and visitations
• Fostering a spiritually vibrant and nurturing environment for numerical growth and holistic health
• Guiding spiritual growth through prayer, personal reflection, and engagement with Scripture
• Counseling individuals, couples, and families seeking spiritual guidance or encouragement
• Modeling Christ-like humility, prayerfulness, and dedication to the ministry of CBC

Expectations

Serve as a spiritual leader who shares the congregation's joys and supports its sorrows and burdens. Work in collaboration with church leadership, including Deacons, Trustees, and other boards, to fulfill the church's mission and vision. Model Christ-like humility, prayerfulness, and dedication to the ministry of CBC.
