Pastor (Bi-vocational)

About the role

Macedonia Baptist Church is a rural, conservative, and mostly traditional Southern Baptist congregation located near Preston, Georgia. We are prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational pastor called by God to lead our church family forward after the recent retirement of our last pastor whose tenure was 23 years.

Responsibilities

• Shepherd the congregation with humility, conviction, and compassion.
• Provide spiritual leadership, sound preaching, pastoral care, and community outreach.
• Work closely with church leadership in guiding the mission of our church, strengthening the discipleship of the believers, and using church revitalization principles.
• Oversee church administration in collaboration with the deacons.

Requirements

• Full embrace of the Southern Baptist Faith and Message and its doctrine.

Qualifications

• Strong biblical knowledge and understanding.
• Experience in pastoral care and community outreach.
• Ability to lead and inspire a diverse congregation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to engage in church revitalization principles.
