Pastor

About the role

The church is seeking a full-time pastor to serve as the spiritual leader of the congregation. The pastor will be responsible to God and the church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, demonstrate genuine concern for the lost, and provide leadership, teaching, and pastoral care to this body of believers.

Responsibilities

• Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Provide leadership, teaching, and pastoral care to the congregation
• Oversee the welfare and ministry of the church
• Lead worship services on regular and special occasions
• Work with the deacons and leaders of the church to fulfill its mission through evangelism, discipleship, and service

Requirements

• Man of integrity and good moral character
• Exhibits self-control, hospitality, and a gentle spirit
• Baptist by faith
• Agrees with and upholds the bylaws, constitution, and mission of the church
