Organizational Overview
Mount Ebal Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church situated in rural Aiken County, outside of Batesburg, SC. The church is currently seeking a full time pastor after the retirement of our pastor after 23 years of service.
Church History and Facilities
Established in 1832, Mt. Ebal Baptist Church has consistently represented Jesus Christ to the community. The church is located on approximately 10 acres and includes the following facilities:
- Main Sanctuary
- Fellowship hall with Sunday School classrooms
- Activity Building
- Cemetery
The current membership of the church stands at 309, with a total of 8 baptisms recorded for the year 2025. The church offers a variety of services and programs, including:
- Sunday School
- Worship service on Sunday morning
- Discipleship training and evening service on Sunday
- Mid-week prayer service on Wednesday morning
- Active AWANA program
- Women's Missionary Union (WMU)
- Men's fellowship
Pastoral Responsibilities
The pastor is tasked with providing administrative leadership for the church. This role requires the utilization of skills in proclamation and pastoral care to address the needs of individuals within the church and broader community.
Requirements
A seminary masters is preferred.
