About the role
We are seeking a pastor for Roddy Baptist Church, located in Roddy, just south of Cochran, GA. The church is part of the Dodge County Baptist Association and offers services on Sunday morning and evening, and Wednesday night.
Responsibilities
- Pastor the church family in all aspects of worship and ministry.
- Attend Ministry Group meetings as necessary or requested.
- Take part in administrative duties of the church.
- Assist deacons and church family in the visitation of new prospects, new residents, the bereaved, sick/shut-in, and hospitalized members.
- Promote and be actively involved in evangelistic outreach.
Requirements
- A commitment to preaching the inerrant, infallible and inspired word of God without compromise.
- Affirmation of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
- Prior pastoral experience is preferred.
- Some formal training and study in theology is desired.
Qualifications
No formal theological degree is required, but some formal training and study is desired.
