About the role
The Passenger Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of faculty, staff, and students, ensuring reliable service while delivering a courteous experience.
Responsibilities
- Operates University Shuttle Vehicle/ADA Vehicle for on-demand rides in a safe and courteous manner.
- Transports passengers requiring ADA accommodation using wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
- Assists passengers with boarding and exiting as needed, ensuring a positive and secure experience.
- Follows all university transportation policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior as assigned.
- Provides exceptional customer service and represents the University in a professional manner.
- Refuels vehicle as needed.
- Performs other duties and assists with projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous driving experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must meet and maintain Villanova University driving privileges as outlined by Villanova’s Risk Management Motor Vehicle Record Policy for Drivers of University Vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and secure mobility devices safely.
- Patience, professionalism, and sensitivity to passenger needs.
- Experience using a Samsung Tablet.
Pay
This position falls within hourly grade 10, with a pay range of $24.38 to $25.73 per hour. The final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
Schedule
Full-time, 9-month work schedule.
