Passenger Van Driver (PT)

Key Responsibilities

• Transport older adults to and from the Senior Center, Teen Center, and intergenerational activities.
• Aid passengers with boarding, exiting, and mobility needs.
• Foster a welcoming, respectful environment that supports positive interactions across generations.
• Maintain vehicle safety, cleanliness, and fueling; coordinate routine maintenance.
• Communicate with program staff regarding schedules, delays, and participant needs.
• Respond to emergencies and follow established safety protocols.
• Observe and report participant needs, making referrals to COA staff when appropriate.
• Support basic program logistics, including occasional pickups/deliveries and feedback on operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Drivers License with an excellent driving record.
• Experience working with older adults (and/or youth) preferred.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and sound judgment.
