About the role

The Passenger Service Supervisor will have primary oversight of the fast-paced airport passenger service environment, providing quality passenger service, ticketing, check-in processing, luggage claim handling, and service assistance to all traveling passengers. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and any other passenger issues in the airport while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
  • Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
  • Ensure that all work areas (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage) are organized and functional.
  • Perform gate area duties including making announcements, checking baggage, and assigning seats.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

  • Take responsibility for the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace safety rules.
  • Adhere to the company’s Substance Misuse Policy, which prohibits the misuse of alcohol and drugs and includes regular testing.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of wheelchair assistance, customer service, hospitality, or airport operations experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Computer skills required for using computer-based systems.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive, can-do, upbeat personality; able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to stand for long periods at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
