About the Role
The Instructor, Passenger Services delivers initial and recurrent safety, security, and procedural training for airport passenger service agents. This role ensures compliance with WFS standards and applicable government regulations, maintains training records, updates local SOPs, and supports audits. While based at a local station, the primary focus is supporting training initiatives and reporting to Corporate Training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and recurrent training for passenger service and ground handling operations
- Ensure compliance with WFS policies and TSA, FAA, DOT, airport authority, and U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations
- Maintain and audit training records; update local training manuals and SOPs
- Train personnel on new procedures and regulatory requirements
- Support audits, documentation review, and passenger processing compliance
- Perform training-related administrative tasks and data entry
- Assist in station operations as needed
- Communicate effectively with employees and management; work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform duties in variable airport and weather conditions
Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable in all Federal Air Regulations pertaining to passenger ground handling operations and all Worldwide Flight Services procedures
- 2 years of customer service experience required, preferably in the airline/hospitality industry
- Comply with WFS site security plan
- Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS reporting program
Preferred Skills
- Must possess leadership qualities
- Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
- Current working knowledge of computer systems
- Current office/warehouse operational working experience preferred
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, crawl, or grip as necessary to demonstrate job functions and operate required equipment
- Work in restricted spaces as necessary to demonstrate job functions
- Ability to lift 35 lbs
- Work in a high noise level environment
