This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Pasco, WA, reporting to the O&M Manager. The role is safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment 5-panel drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the plant operation
  • Keep records of operation
  • Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
  • Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor
  • Load and unload consumable chemicals
  • Load outgoing treated water into trucks
  • Monitor filter press operation
  • Coordinate sludge storage and movement
  • Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
  • Assist in the maintenance of the plant as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre-treatment (PT), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Dissolved Aeration Flotation (DAF), Digestors, or wastewater treatment units
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Hands-on ability to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring

Physical Demands

  • Lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs
  • Climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods
  • High degree of concentration in a busy area

Pay

Starting rate of pay: $35.50 per hour
