Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle weekly payroll process for approximately 230–250 employees across multiple states.
- Ensure payroll accuracy across varying pay rates, job codes, labor allocations, and employees working across multiple job sites and states.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Reconcile payroll data and support reporting between Sage 300 and ADP.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance on payroll reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual payroll processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop standardized payroll procedures and documentation.
- Support future payroll system implementations and process improvement initiatives.
- Help build scalable payroll operations as the company continues its acquisition-driven growth.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive full-cycle payroll experience.
- Strong experience processing complex multi-state payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll taxes, wage laws, and payroll compliance.
- Experience with multiple pay rates, job costing, labor allocations, or project-based payroll is a plus.
- Payroll implementation or system conversion experience is highly desirable.
- Experience within construction, industrial services, manufacturing, engineering, or other project-based environments is preferred.
- Experience with Sage 300 and/or ADP is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent payroll experience will also be considered.
