Party Planner in a Box REMOTE

Purpose of Job

Plan a party theme and purchase party supplies for children living at an emergency shelter. Able to raise or provide own funds to purchase party supplies.

Duties

• Plan the party theme, decorations, and activities (i.e., space exploration, Beach Bash, sports, or art extravaganza).
• Plan small bags of party favors (no food or candy may be in these bags for safety).
• Estimate expenses and collect funds.
• Purchase supplies for:
• Party decorations. The room in which the party will take place has three long 6 ft tables and one round table if you want to buy table coverings.
• Party activity supplies, enough for 20 children.
• Party favor bag supplies, enough for 20 children.
• Assemble party favor bags.
• Put all party supplies into one box.
• Email volunteers@waynemetro.org to arrange box pick-up
