Party Host Lead

About the role

The Party Host Lead oversees all Cabana and Party Host events, interacting closely with the party client from inquiry to execution. This position leads the Party Host team in creating a fun and engaging experience for guests at the Party Cabanas and other venues throughout Kroc Center Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• First responder for Party Inquiries.
  • Send out information by email, fax or in person.
  • Conducts tours and site inspections.
  • Covers all aspects of an event, from contract management to post-event follow-up.
  • Ensures all parties are set up and ready to go before guest arrival.
  • Checks in party guests and sets the tone of a party with high energy, fun, and enthusiasm.
  • Reviews paperwork, sets up and breaks down equipment, supplies, and activities.
  • Responds quickly to requests from members and guests, supervisors, or management.
  • Serves food and beverages to guests and maintains a self-motivated and self-directed schedule.
  • Remains visible and available to the needs of guests and acts as the key contact point for clients throughout the party.
  • Supervises the flow and safety of Party Cabana areas and other party areas as applicable.
  • Thoroughly cleans and resets the area once guests have left the party.
• Maintain the Code of Ethics policy and follow The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and other administrative meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.
• At least 18 years old.
• Customer service and some food service experience preferred.
• Previous experience in child care or working with children.

Description Of Work Environment

• Most work will be outdoors in the Kroc Center Hawaii Aquatic Center as well as other Kroc Center Hawaii facilities and offices.
• Attendance at trainings and conferences may be required.
• Equipment used includes general office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, scanners, printers, fax machines, telephone (office, cell, PDA), and 10-key calculator.
