Party & Event Host

Event Coordination

• Coordinate and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store.
• Create and implement event plans, including party add-ons like goody bags, balloons, etc.
• Communicate with clients and store team members about events.
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
• Create and execute backup or emergency plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.

Customer Service

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Educate customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Complete enrollments and assist with Omni channel processes.
• Participate in truck un-loading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Perform merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
• Remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
• Promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
