Key Responsibilities
- Issue parts to mechanics
- Aid procurement specialist in maintaining perpetual inventory throughout fiscal year
- Aid in preparation of year-end inventory and preparation of appropriate forms
- Aid procurement specialist in purchasing of parts and clerical work
- Keep parts room neat and orderly
- Assist other personnel as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Minimum three years’ experience in auto parts field
- Ability to obtain a class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements
Preferred Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
Skills & Competencies
- Models the attributes and skills of the MPS Portrait of a Graduate
- Familiarity with various types of vehicles (sedans, trucks, school buses, vans, etc)
- Effective communication (verbal and written)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- Ability to work overtime and change schedules with minimal notice
- Willingness to pursue educational goals to maintain basic job skills

- This position requires a range of physical abilities to perform the essential duties
- Physical Demands: Frequently pull, reach, push, bend, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and sit
- Uses hand and power tools that require good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong reflexes for steering, braking, and maneuvering the vehicle safely
- Speaking, hearing, and seeing (with or without correction)
- Maintaining focus for extended periods
