Responsibilities
- Aid the parts manager in managing inventory daily
- Return unused "outside purchase parts" to vendors
- Prepare for annual parts inventory
- Take messages for counter staff and parts manager
- Quickly attend to and assist both internal and retail customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Accurately obtain and price parts and accessories, and enter information into the appropriate documents and computer systems
- Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, aiming to satisfy callers
- Stock incoming inventory in designated locations
- Maintain the parts department in a clean and organized condition
- Provide customers with necessary information and suggest additional sales opportunities
- Create and manage merchandise displays to boost product sales
Qualifications
- Basic proficiency with computers and office machines (copier, credit card machine, telephone)
- Automotive experience is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Passes a drug test
- Self-disciplined and motivated to exceed expectations
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds and perform tasks requiring stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and handling parts and equipment
- Able to work in a dusty environment with exposure to various chemical compounds and paints
