Part Time Warehouse Worker

What You Will Do

• Hand-insert free-standing inserts into the inserting machine
• Use the shrink-wrap machine to wrap pallets
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse
• Work on the binder machine to load signatures
• Load mail pieces into the mail machine and gather addressed pieces off the conveyor
• Handle a “jogging” table to align all inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket
• Work on the mail machine to load mail pieces
• Perform daily cleanup of the mailroom
• Handle shipping/receiving materials as needed
• Use computer software to manage shipping materials as required

Benefits And Compensation

• The hourly wage is $16.90
• Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.

About the Role

The Bay Area News Group is seeking two part-time warehouse workers to join their team. These roles involve ensuring the insertion process for publications is completed daily, with shifts available during both the day and night.

Requirements

Must be able to work weekends.

Schedule

• One day shift
• One night shift

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, though not required. Previous warehouse, material handling, or forklift experience is also preferred, although computer proficiency is not necessary.

Skills

Team player, good communication skills, positive attitude, ability to follow supervisor directions, and basic computer skills are beneficial.

Conditions Of Employment
