Full-time position located in Irving, reporting to Devin Clearman. Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 2000 East Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062.

About the role

This position is responsible for responding to customers' needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency. Must provide prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of all parts transactions and related warehouse activities, working independently, with specific direction, or as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Model, promote, and reinforce the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Work safely always and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adhere to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintain all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in good, clean, and working order
  • Complete all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers accurately, timely, and supportively to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Complete all stock replenishment tasks accurately and timely to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse
  • Maintain parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
  • Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting
  • Complete internal parts orders, identify parts for return, and communicate job status to supervisor as needed
  • Learn how to place 3rd party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
  • Perform housekeeping duties while adhering to contamination control guidelines
  • Work overtime as required by workload
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Up to two years of warehouse operations experience
  • Must complete HOLT VBL and DiSC training
  • Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines, including:
    • Order pulling
    • Job-related software
    • Forklift operation
    • Hydraulic hose building
    • Ladder JSA, battery JSA, prime mover JSA
    • Will counter operations
    • All applicable policies and procedures
  • General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
  • Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
  • Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair, including an overhead crane
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift
  • Ability to operate controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions
  • Self-starting and self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Travel

Up to 10% travel may be required and may include overnight stays. Ability to travel between stores within the region for special projects and/or company needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Significant amount of time standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, and reaching
  • Constant movement and use of hands; requires good manual dexterity
  • Communicates with customers, supervisor, manager, and co-workers
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions; visually inspects work
  • Frequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.; must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet, and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment

Work Environment

  • Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts
  • May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
  • Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
  • Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
  • Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
  • Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
  • Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
  • Potential WMS work environment
