About the role
The Parts Warehouse Associate I plays a crucial part in our team by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining an organized warehouse operation through basic warehouse processes and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional and safe (COPS) work environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations including the ability to pick efficiently and accurately, pack, stage, put away, deliver orders, and maintain customer will call.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of cores, ship desk, hose fabrication, and will call.
- Understand basic principles of inventory control.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Must be able to pass WorkSteps test for this position.
- Able to work overtime as a job requirement dependent on department needs.
- Able to work weekends, holidays, or evenings as required.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software and Order processing systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain company driving requirements if required to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Qualifications
