About the role

As a Parts Specialist, you will play a vital role in fulfilling parts requests for LiftOne technicians and customers. You’ll triage parts requests, generate revenue through parts sales, and provide customer support throughout the order lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the parts request ticketing queue to support technicians with appropriate actions and updates.
  • Provide customer service for inside sales, walk-in customers, and process incoming orders.
  • Collaborate with technicians and the procurement team to ensure timely material replenishment.
  • Check material availability across the LiftOne network.
  • Create and modify sales and/or service orders to meet customer requirements for material, quantity, shipment urgency, and location.
  • Assist customers in finding the correct parts for their equipment and process sales transactions while ensuring a positive experience.
  • Drive outbound sales calls to increase parts sales.
  • Review and investigate material accuracy using technician manuals, vendor portals, and part interchangeability or supersession data.
  • Communicate order updates between technicians and the procurement team to adapt to changing customer requirements.
  • Provide reserve support to other LiftOne parts/warehouse functions as needed.
  • Deliver friendly, proactive, and professional support to others, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant parts inventory, replenishment, or equivalent experience within the service industry, preferably in high-volume transaction environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer-first attitude.
  • Past technician experience with parts knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, such as counting inventory items by case quantity.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, customer sales, or service order tools.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and service technician principles, including demand requirements, inventory availability, customer orders, technical manuals, and replenishment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to review information, identify errors or inconsistencies, and maintain high accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly address issues.
  • Must frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • Driving is an essential function; a current valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.
  • Ability to operate a forklift; training and certification assistance provided if needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ERP and forecasting systems (SAP experience is a plus).

Work Environment

  • Depending on site location, may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration.
  • Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise levels in some work environments may occasionally be loud.
