About the role
The Parts Specialist oversees Warehouse Operations to ensure DEUTZ maintains an adequate supply of equipment and parts, driving sales and profitability. Key responsibilities include sustaining and growing $2,000,000 in annual part sales, managing inventory, processing customer orders, assisting with engine quoting, and performing various warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and grow $2,000,000 in annual part sales
- Maintain appropriate inventory stocking levels
- Receive and process customer parts orders
- Liaise with Operations Manager and technicians to order parts for engine and equipment repairs
- Absorb DEUTZ dealers with the phone, internet, and email part orders
- Aid walk-in customers with part sales needs
- Quote Xchange engines to customers and dealers
- Must be familiar with all phases of warehouse operations and retail parts selling
- Daily housekeeping of warehouse/retail parts counter and service department parts counter
- Place orders for Engine/Parts stock following SAP guidelines
- Receive and stock freight in hard locations
- Assemble and stock modification kits
- Process receiving documents; prepare Bill of Lading / Airway Billing
- Prepare required paperwork and computer entries within SAP guidelines
- Pick parts/components from stock for production builds
- Perform weekly inventory cycle counts
- Perform annual parts inventory
- Aid with emergency parts callouts as required by customers
Qualifications
- High school education
- Demonstrated Forklift experience
- Strong knowledge of Diesel engines and their parts
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Valid driver’s license, insured by the company, and able to operate a company vehicle in accordance with all state and federal laws, company policies, and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and internet skills
- SAP experience or comparable ERP System

Travel Requirements
Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 10% depending on business needs.
Physical Requirements
Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C. If an employee is in the office area, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
