Parts Sales Specialist
About the role
The Parts Sales Specialist assists all customers and technicians in securing needed parts and supplies. They are accountable for achieving monthly sales and gross profit forecasts and seeking out parts sales. This role works with customers, outside salespersons, and technicians to fulfill parts requirements under general supervision.
Essential Functions
- Aids in filling parts requirements for customers and technicians.
- Prepares invoices for over-the-counter sales and bills parts to repair orders.
- Maintains stock levels, receives, ships parts, and issues local purchase orders.
- Addresses customer needs and issues promptly and maintains a favorable relationship with customers.
- Escalates customer issues to supervisor when necessary.
- Maintains a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
- Enters lost sales into the inventory system to maintain proper levels.
- Fulfills safety-sensitive duties and follows safe work practices and procedures.
- Assists with inventory management activities as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
- One-year automotive parts-related work experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.
