Parts Sales Representative -Inside
Primary function: assist customers—both in-person and by telephone—in locating the correct parts for heavy-duty trucks, collaborating with customers, mechanics, and peers to identify accessories, place orders, and support vehicle repairs, enhancements, or general needs. Assist in stocking and organizing the showroom floor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging every customer; offer assistance.
- Answer the telephone within three rings using the proper greeting and offer to assist the caller.
- Suggest additional products or services that address the customer’s repair needs.
- Follow dealership procedures for cash, credit, and check transactions at the parts counter.
- Process core returns and warranty claims.
- Follow up on order shortages and expedite resolution with the Parts Manager.
- Stay knowledgeable about product merchandising.
- Attend training as directed by management to maintain job proficiency.
- Provide service technicians with required parts.
- Maintain the retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed dealership standards.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Parts Manager.
