Part Sales Representative
Responsibilities
- Travel to companies and businesses to sell parts for industrial equipment for mechanical uses.
- Check out existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Create solutions, grow market share, and ensure excellent customer satisfaction with new and existing customers by offering high-quality parts at competitive prices.
- Perform product demonstrations and application support.
- Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone.
- Estimate the date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of the manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Service Department installation and test operation of parts or repairs needed.
- Recommend solutions to product-related problems.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
- Review daily sales reports and complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
- Follows policies and procedures; supports company's goals and values.
Requirements
- Ability to negotiate the pricing while achieving revenue goals and delivering results.
- Heavy Equipment parts sales experience required.
- Must be able to guard confidential information on pricing, products, etc.
- Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data-driven, detail-oriented, approach.
- Analytical ability to prepare performance reports, cost/price analyses, and other performance measures.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations with tact.
- Responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve service.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
- Possess the ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Certificate or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish).
