Parts Sales Rep

About the role
The Parts Sales Representative supports customers with parts sales inquiries and processing, delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with Account Managers. This role requires self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Integrity, professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential.
Responsibilities
- Handle all marine parts sales inquiries received by phone, email, and the web store.
- Research as needed and accurately prepare parts quotes; present quotes via phone, email, or per customer requirements.
- Provide basic technical support to inquiries as needed.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and sales teams to respond to technical requests beyond their knowledge.
- Work with supply chain to verify parts availability and communicate accurate shipping dates to customers.
- Correctly enter parts orders into the appropriate system by brand and ensure timely processing.
- Finalize sales by gathering necessary information, including payment and shipping instructions; communicate with the inside team to ensure on-time delivery and notify customers of any changes affecting price or delivery.
- Compile weekly and monthly parts sales reports as required.
Requirements
- Previous parts & service experience an asset.
- Experience in Sales or Customer Service an asset.
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Strong work ethic; ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Technical knowledge or background in a manufacturing setting and/or marine industry.
