About the role
Manages all third-party vendor activity and associated business, including identifying and building partnerships with vendors whose offerings, service level, and performance best fit Subaru's business strategy. Responsible for the implementation and execution of Field- and retailer-facing promotion and incentive programs. Drives parts sales business growth in collaboration with vendors to aid in revenue growth, customer retention, and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Vendor Relationship Management: Identifies, establishes, and nurtures partnerships with third-party parts vendors and suppliers. Ensures alignment with Subaru's business strategy, quality, performance, and dedication to meeting retailers' and business needs. Acts as the decision maker for continued vendor relationships and new partnerships. Serves as the main stakeholder for all drop-ship related decisions.
- Marketing Optimization and Initiative Management: Researches, develops, and oversees marketing, promotion, and incentive initiatives for Subaru Field staff and retailers. Collaborates with the Fixed Operations Marketing team to ensure effective communication of opportunities.
- Process Enhancement: Works closely with the Parts Pricing department as market trends shift, with final approval rights for all pricing changes. Ensures strategic and mutually beneficial pricing moves for Subaru and its retailer network.
- Business-Centric Inclusivity: Initiates and fosters tactical interdepartmental partnerships with Supply Chain, Accessories, Warranty, Service, Export, and other departments. Implements strategies to produce better results collaboratively. Assists in the addition of new parts and segments to Subaru’s offerings.
- Collaborative Endeavors: Maintains productive relationships with Regional and Zone Field staff. Disseminates important information and ensures proper communication and action.
- Parts Sales Analysts: Manages and leads the Parts Sales department data analysts. Sets clear expectations for timeliness, work quality, and output, and monitors goal achievement for personal and business growth.
- Parts Sales Internship Program: Manages intern training, performs progress reviews, and fosters a mutually beneficial environment. Aligns intern learning objectives with team and company goals.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Plans and prepares for vendor partner Quarterly Business Review meetings, Regional and Zone Field-level meetings, National Training Conference (NTC), National Business Conference (NBC), and Aftersales Business Conference (ABC).
- Contributes to executive meetings by delegating and managing the development of presentation decks and relevant data reporting.
- Manages miscellaneous third-party business, projects, and reporting as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and prioritize projects as needed.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, such as vendors.
- Professional communication skills, including negotiation of contracts with vendors and distributors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to be a team player and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to optimize budgetary spending to provide maximum impact on business goals.
Schedule
- Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (Wednesdays & Fridays) after 90 days.
- Required Travel: Up to 20% domestic.
Pay
The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000 - $130,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage based on performance.
