About the role

The Parts Sales and Operations Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to the employees in the parts department. This individual will manage the parts operation (counter sales, warehouse, and parts delivery), provide exceptional customer service, and maintain superior employee relations. The role is critical for maintaining and managing proper inventory levels, establishing inventory minimums or maximums, and meeting or exceeding parts inventory turns and parts first pass fill rate. The supervisor is responsible for developing and meeting the parts budget and overall department goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise employees in the parts department.
  • Manage counter sales, warehouse operations, and parts delivery.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain strong employee relations.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, including establishing minimums and maximums.
  • Achieve or exceed parts inventory turns and first pass fill rate targets.
  • Develop and meet the parts budget and overall department goals.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
  • Five years in a parts department, customer contact position, or parts sales role.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard. The role requires the ability to exchange information verbally and in writing. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
