Parts Runner Non-CDL
About the role
The Parts Runner (Non-CDL) will be responsible for the safe transportation of items to and from the specified destinations. They will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of parts. This position includes day or night shift work, extensive traveling, overtime, and weekend work.
Primary Duties
- Conducts inventory control activities as directed by Supervisors
- Retrieves (pulls) parts/tools from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory, notifies supervisors
- Affixes tags to parts as required
- Assists warehouse personnel as needed
- Travels to various vendors and job sites to pick up and deliver parts and equipment
- Completes all documents, forms, and reports in accordance with company policy
- Fuels and washes all equipment in and out of shop including support vehicles
- Maintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policy
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post trip inspections of truck and trailer in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
- Documents inspection findings accurately and completes all required reports and forms
- Travels extensively, often on short notice, to various locations including remote areas
- Operates equipment as needed (forklift, telehandler, skid steer, excavator) to load/unload equipment and parts
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Overnight travel will be required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Three (3) years of previous related experience (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills to handle the variety of tasks assigned and to be able to prioritize
- Develops positive working relationships with vendors
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment/mechanics to know parts and speak intelligently with vendors
Position Functions
The Position functions in the shop as well as the field in all types of weather conditions. Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy. Overtime may be necessary during peak times. Must be able to work flexible schedule at times.
