Parts Runner

About the role

The Parts Runner distributes materials and correspondence throughout the entire campus and to off-site locations by walking and/or driving company vehicles. This position uses an existing system to scan barcodes on all handled items for tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, deliver, and route items and correspondence to appropriate team members across all Duncan Aviation facilities.
• Operate company vehicles for on-campus pick-up and delivery of materials.
• Verify accuracy of part information (quantities, part numbers, lot or serial numbers, part description, condition code, expiration date, etc.) prior to delivery.
• Scan barcodes using the internal Radio Frequency (RF) System to document deliveries for speed and accuracy.
• Assist with various warehouse duties (incoming parts inspections, pulling orders, packaging shipments, etc.) following Duncan Aviation-approved procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous parts runner or warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Duncan Aviation-trained Forklift Certification; eligible for Shipping & Receiving Auditor designation.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally 100 lbs.
• Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to read small print.
• Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
• Regularly scheduled attendance required.
