Parts Route Sales Driver - La Grande, OR
About the role
This position focuses on the safe and efficient delivery of parts, while concentrating on positive customer engagement, issue resolution and growth.
Responsibilities
- Efficient parts delivery to customers on a designated route utilizing a delivery vehicle.
- Responsible for sales activities that build strong customer relationships on a designated route.
- Field order processing.
- Issue resolution.
- Customer training.
- Transitioning customer to Excelerator ordering.
- Management of vendor inventory programs.
- Growth.
- Proficient use of tools and technology including dispatch systems, tablets, phones and our customer relationship management tool.
- Other duties as assigned such as shipping, receiving, general warehouse work.
Requirements, Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Must have valid driver’s license, be insurable and have a clean driving record.
Skills
- Ability to drive Sprinter vans, pick-ups.
- Ability to type and use computer tablet and/or keyboard, send and receive calls and data via a smartphone.
Job Conditions
- Physical Demands: Requires repetitive bending, frequent lifting up to or in excess of 75 lbs., sitting, standing, reaching, crawling, stretching. Must be able to use both hands and feet to operate vehicles.
- Environmental Demands: Mostly indoor and outdoor in seasonal weather conditions. Some noise while working around operation departments.
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
