Schedule
Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm, with a Saturday rotation from 7:30 am until noon.
Pay
Starting wage range is typically $20–25/hr, varying by experience level.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon arrival to the department and over the phone, using their name as appropriate, assisting them promptly, and thanking them for their business.
- Ask appropriate questions to determine the best solution to customers’ parts needs.
- Use all available resources to find the best solution for customers.
- Build solid business relationships with customers and serve as a resource for their questions.
- Communicate marketing programs to customers, promoting the R&S value.
- Assist Technicians and other Service personnel in retrieving parts, recognizing that shop orders are equally important to the profitability of the Parts department.
- Retrieve parts from inventory, transfer parts from another store, or order parts as needed.
- Generate invoices, accept payment, and accurately process transactions.
- Coordinate incoming and outbound shipments from the dealership.
- Process parts orders as they arrive, put them away, or match them with orders.
- Contact customers and notify them when orders are in.
- Maintain eye-catching displays by facing, stocking, and dusting merchandise on the showroom floor daily.
- Create seasonal merchandising displays to promote sales.
- Share responsibility for after-hours calls with other parts department staff.
- Refer leads on other sales opportunities to R&S staff as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe parts area, observing safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all parts on hand and participate in the annual physical inventory process as requested.
- Stay up-to-date on equipment and market trends through training, product bulletins, and other resources.
- Complete all related paperwork in a timely, efficient manner.
- Present a positive, professional image in dress and conduct at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three plus years of previously related experience.
- Knowledge of farm equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization and the general public.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to use a computer and current software programs.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.
