Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to customer parts or information requests quickly
- Develop business relationships with all customers
- Develop game plan for prospecting a designated territory
- Communicate internally with parts department and externally with customers
- Maintain the status of customer orders, advise in case of problems, and notify upon arrival
- Aid other Parts Department employees with above tasks as necessary
Qualifications
- Appreciation for teamwork & sincere desire to contribute as a team member
- Excellent communication skills, including an awareness of others & effective listening ability
- Customer appreciation, a desire to satisfy customers & the ability to instill customer confidence
- A commitment to customer satisfaction by addressing potential issues proactively
- Multi-tasking ability, especially in dealing with interruptions and quick acknowledgements
Preferred but not Required:
- College degree in Truck Parts Sales &/or Parts Counter experience
- Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive &/or truck mechanics
- Parts department experience, particularly in a truck dealership or truck aftermarket environment
- An ability to recognize opportunities for process & operational improvement
