Front Counter Person Duties

• Sells products for the repair of trucks according to customers’ needs
• Sells services for the repair of trucks to meet customer needs
• Maintains customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers
• Answers customer inquiries
• Fulfills customer requests
• Sells additional parts and services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell
• Follows prescribed cash, credit and check processing procedures of the dealership
• Pulls parts for customers
• Receives returns from customers
• Affords assistance in keeping parts department clean and orderly
• Records all sales and/or customer transactions
• Affords assistance in merchandise displays
• Affords assistance in maintaining the retail sale floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealership’s standards and customer satisfaction
• Uses dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently

Customer Service Duties

• Greets customers immediately in a courteous manner
• Assists in resolving customer complaints and concerns and ensures the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership’s satisfaction
• Treats customers fairly and honestly and demonstrates company’s commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices

After Hour Duties

• Performs cashiering functions after hours
• Answers telephone calls after hours

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Three years or more experience with heavy-duty trucks and parts
• OEM Dealer experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of truck engines, transmissions and rear axles
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment and mechanical parts
• Proficient in relevant computer applications

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical examination and and background check.

Compensation

$18-$25/hour depending on experience + Bonus Benefits
