About the Role

We are seeking a Parts Finisher to join our 2nd shift team in the Asbury Road facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine finishing operations in sanding, polishing, and deburring on various metal parts to ensure they meet Eriez's quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Finish parts as specified by drawings/spec sheets.
• De‑burr work pieces using files, grinders, sanders, etc.
• Use proper techniques to clean work pieces.
• Operate overhead cranes and clamping devices.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including miscellaneous labor jobs.
• Read and understand drawings and shop packets.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete tasks timely and efficiently as directed by supervisor.
• Operate hand tools and manual machine tools.
• Learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
• Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math.
• Ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Ability to follow routings, detailed work instructions, spec sheets, and sales order copies.
• Willingness to perform duties in other work areas when assigned by supervisor.
• Pass a pre‑employment occupational physical.
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards; wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and traverse facilities by climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
• Physical stamina for long periods of activity without excessive fatigue.
• Manual dexterity and stability for precision work.
• Ability to see details at close range and distance, with or without corrective lenses.
• Effective communication with coworkers.
• Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to safely push and pull as needed for job duties.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour. Base pay commensurate with experience plus a 6 % second‑shift differential premium.
