About the role
This full-time Parts Driver position is ideal for individuals looking to start a long-term career in the automotive industry. While prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, we prioritize honesty, hard work, positivity, and a willingness to learn. Many of our employees have been with the company for 10+ years, and we provide full training.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ability and licensing to operate a commercial vehicle on public roads.
- Operate vehicle safely, adhering to dealership policies (e.g., hands-free use of phones).
- Observe health and safety procedures, especially for handling hazardous substances.
- Complete forms accurately and coordinate work with team members and management.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by a supervising manager.
- Maintain the dealership’s service standards and quality.
- Follow procedures to prevent and minimize vehicle damage; avoid disturbing customer property.
- Foster friendly, courteous relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Accurately and efficiently identify and pull inventory items to fulfill customer orders.
- Suggest viable alternatives for out-of-stock inventory items.
- Inspect parts for damage and record descriptions on delivery receipts.
- Support process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Park vehicles in assigned areas to maximize space and maintain the dealership lot.
- Use equipment to clean and service vehicles.
- Maintain the proper function of all service tools and equipment.
- Understand, comply with, and stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales and dealership operations.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- General familiarity with a variety of automobiles.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer and phone skills.
