Parts-Delivery Driver

Overview

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. The Parts Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering parts and equipment to various locations, coordinating deliveries with the parts manager, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Checks with the parts manager or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Verifies payments received against the invoices for each delivery.
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups.
• Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
• Loads vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and performing required inspections.
• Advises the parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Helps with stock orders when they arrive to expedite delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, speak effectively, add, subtract, multiply, and divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, draw and interpret bar graphs, apply common sense understanding, and deal with problems involving concrete variables.
