Responsibilities
- Oversight of the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Communication with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Effective conversation regarding customer parts status.
- Reading and understanding the parts catalog.
- Providing price quotes and other information to customers.
- Reviewing body shop estimates to verify parts and pricing.
- Offering high-level service to both internal and external customers.
- Pulling and filling orders from stock.
- Maintaining weekly bin checks for accuracy.
- Notifying parts manager of out-of-stock items or urgent needs.
- Locating out-of-stock parts from external sources and submitting emergency orders.
- Serving internal requests for parts on service repair orders.
- Collecting payment from retail customers or obtaining credit authorizations.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
- Eagerness to improve in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
- Mathematical skills including calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
