Parts Counter Sales Representative

About the role

Truck Centers, Inc. (TCI) is looking for a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you'll need to bring your strong interpersonal skills to help our customers find the commercial vehicle and equipment parts they need, whether in person or over the phone.

What You'll Do

• Sell parts by assisting customers over the counter or by phone in a lively, fast-paced setting.
• Utilize resources to quickly and efficiently look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within the TCI network.
• Handle transactions by ensuring all sales transactions are completed accurately and promptly, adhering to TCI policies, including verifying signatures, credit cards, and customer identity.
• Coordinate orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up, ensuring they are processed quickly.
• Process returns by issuing credits for returned parts, verifying purchase details with original invoices or reference numbers.
• Perform customer follow-up by regularly checking in with customers on order status, providing estimates, and making routine sales calls to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Enter part numbers accurately to determine costs on repair orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of parts sales experience is highly preferable
• Thorough knowledge of basic computer operations and inventory control systems
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
• Strong organization skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and a solution-focused outlook
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Ability to lift or move up to 80 lbs. unassisted

Pay & Schedule

• Pay range: $20.02 - $30.02 per hour with incentive eligibility
• Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
