Parts Counter Apprentice - Diesel and Heavy Duty Trucks

About the role

Advantage Truck Group (ATG) offers a hands-on career development opportunity for a full-time Parts Counter Apprentice. ATG's Parts Team supports a wide range of commercial and municipal vehicle applications, fleets, and owner operators, serving the largest on-highway heavy-duty parts network in New England.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with their parts needs. Learn how to look up parts, provide quotes, and process sales orders accurately.
• Warehouse Operations: Pull and prepare parts for customer orders, assist with shipping and receiving, and help with stocking shelves to keep inventory organized.
• Inventory Management: Learn the fundamentals of inventory control, including performing regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Parts Logistics: Perform vendor pickups and parts deliveries as needed, maintaining prompt service and building positive relationships.
• Skill Acquisition: Complete required training on truck core systems and customer service standards to build technical expertise and deliver high-quality service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to maintain stationary positions throughout the workday.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform required tasks.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Pay

Hourly compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 depending on experience.
