Campbell Supply Company is a second‑generation, family‑owned dealership with seven locations serving the commercial and emergency vehicle industries since 1967. We are seeking a motivated Parts Consultant to join our growing team and help drive success through exceptional service, quality products, and tailored solutions.

About the role

The Parts Consultant role is versatile and may involve work at the parts counter, back counter, or phone room, depending on company needs and the candidate’s strengths. You will assist customers in identifying and purchasing the right parts, contribute to sales growth, and help increase gross margins. Performance is evaluated on a competency scale (A, B, or C) that influences bonus percentages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service at the parts counter, back counter, or phone room, helping customers find the right parts for specific applications.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date expertise on the full product line, including compatibility, benefits, and industry developments.
  • Engage walk‑in and phone‑in customers to promote and upsell parts and accessories, using effective sales techniques to meet or exceed personal and team goals.
  • Accurately process orders across multiple channels, ensuring correct selection and timely delivery or pickup.
  • Monitor stock levels, communicate needs with the inventory team, and recommend reorders or new product additions based on demand and feedback.
  • Develop strong relationships with repair technicians, contractors, fleet operators, and attend industry events and training.
  • Track personal and team sales data, including gross margins, and prepare performance reports with suggestions for improvement.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with product updates and sales strategies, and support onboarding of new team members.
  • Performance will be assessed on product expertise, service quality, and sales results, directly influencing bonus rates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is a plus).
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the automotive, equipment, or heavy‑duty industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle or machinery parts is highly desirable.
  • Goal‑oriented with a drive to succeed in a sales environment.
  • Skilled in problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Comfortable using inventory management and point‑of‑sale software.
