The Partnerships Growth Lead is a senior role focused on expanding strategic relationships with government organizations and driving sustainable growth. This is a remote position with significant travel required.
About the role
This role involves building a scalable growth engine for government partnerships, managing complex sales cycles, and creating processes for future expansion. It requires a combination of strategic partnership development, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own enterprise sales cycles from qualification and pipeline development through proposals, procurement navigation, negotiation, and closing.
- Manage a structured sales pipeline with disciplined forecasting across long government sales cycles.
- Develop procurement strategies, including responses to RFPs and RFIs, competitive positioning, and approaches for navigating government purchasing processes.
- Create pricing, packaging, and partnership structures that align with customer needs, procurement requirements, and organizational goals.
- Establish repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and operating systems that enable future team growth.
- Partner with internal teams to translate market opportunities into effective partnership strategies and customer solutions.
- Represent the organization at state capitals, industry events, and relevant convenings to strengthen market presence.
Requirements
- Experienced enterprise sales and partnerships professional with a strong understanding of government procurement, complex stakeholder environments, and mission-driven growth.
- Significant experience selling to state and local government organizations, ideally involving complex programs or public services.
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles, including multi-year agreements and high-value enterprise deals.
- Experience building or improving sales motions, playbooks, and operational processes from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, RFP/RFI responses, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Ability to balance strategic relationship-building with hands-on execution and deal ownership.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior government stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with a high level of ownership.
- Mission-oriented mindset and genuine interest in creating positive outcomes for underserved communities.
- Experience in gov-tech, public-sector technology, or organizations serving complex government systems is preferred.
- Existing relationships with government stakeholders, procurement teams, or relevant public-sector networks are a plus.
