Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a General Liability practice unit within the New York Division, overseeing caseload distribution, team performance, and client service delivery.
- Handle complex General Liability matters—including Labor Law and construction defect—from inception through resolution, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Develop and execute case strategies while maintaining and growing a book of business.
- Collaborate with the Chair of General Liability and other Unit Leads to align practice group goals with broader firm strategy.
- Partner with the firm's in-house Business Development and Marketing team to service existing clients and pursue new business opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture consistent with the firm's values.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- 6+ years of experience in General Liability litigation and scaffold law, with demonstrated Partner-level responsibility.
- Established or developing book of business with the drive to expand client relationships in the New York market.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage and mentor a growing team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of high performance in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Base Salary – $165,000 – $250,000, commensurate with experience and book of business and not inclusive of bonus.
