About the role

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). In this role, you will be responsible for the technical management and enablement of selected AWS Partner Network Consulting Partners located in the US. You will own the technical strategy and execution plan for how your partners will develop their business practices and grow.

As the right candidate, you are a leader who draws upon your experience with developing partners, joint technical business planning, opportunity identification, oversight and development of new lines of business, industry practices and APN Competencies, go-to-market solution development, relationship building, and working in both a direct and matrix operating structure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, partner development managers, and partner core team leaders.
  • Be results driven with proven experience in developing a network of partners with deep capabilities and high-delivery quality.
  • Engage with consulting partners' senior stakeholders, consultants, and AWS customers to build relationships and earn the trust of partner technical leaders.
  • Guide partner growth, transformation of their technology practices on the AWS Platform, and the creation of packaged offerings along with partner resources.
  • Manage a broad portfolio of partners including early-stage cloud native companies, traditional large system integrators, value-added resellers, and specialist providers.
  • Travel is required to interface and build relationships with partners, approximately 20% of the time.

About The Team

The US Consulting Partner (USCP) team drives the technical strategy and execution for AWS’s largest and most strategic partners to scale their growth. As a strategic contributor, you'll work at the intersection of partner and customer needs, ensuring the technical perspective of partners and customers shapes how we engage. The team leads technical enablement initiatives, owns technical relationships with the partner, and provides operational support across the partner ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with large-scale distributed enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years of building business relationships with multinational partners and customers in support of technology sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
  • Experience architecting and operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures.
  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.

Pay

  • USA, CA, San Francisco: $151,000.00 – $204,300.00 USD annually
  • USA, NJ, Jersey City: $144,500.00 – $195,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Dallas: $131,300.00 – $177,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $131,300.00 – $177,600.00 USD annually
