Partner Solutions Architect - Security, AWS Specialists and Partners

About the role

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

As a Partner Solution Architect, Security, you will work with AWS' strategic security Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to help customers embrace cloud technologies. You will work across the security industry and be in a position to help forge the next decade of innovation. Specialist Partner Solutions Architects engage in a wide range of activities, providing technical advice to partners, customers, and the greater security community. They present AWS publicly within their domain and act as the conduit between AWS service teams, customers, and partners.

This role will focus on working with a set of strategic Security partners, owning the technical relationship, and building and designing joint solutions to help shared customers meet their security objectives. You will possess skills in information security, cloud computing, networking, and application architecture, and be seen as a thought leader with customer-facing skills leveraged at all levels of a partner organization. You should be able to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, influencing at the CxO level while also being hands-on at an engineering and product level. 25% travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to AWS partners, collaborating with AWS Engineering service teams such as AWS Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Security Lake, and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Act as a key member of the business development and partner management team to ensure customer success on AWS.
• Provide thought leadership on Security solutions through external publications like AWS Blogs, whitepapers, and public presentations at AWS conferences and industry events.
• Capture and share best practices, participating and contributing as a member of the worldwide AWS technical community of Solution Architects, Support, and Business Development.
• Evangelize a partner’s value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers.
• Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform for regulated workloads.
• Develop extensive executive and senior management relationships within partner organizations.
• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to promote successful engagements with software partners worldwide.
• Serve as a key member of the AWS Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partners team, helping to define and deliver the overall go-to-market strategy for the segment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.

Pay

• USA, CA, San Francisco: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually
• USA, NY, New York: $144,500.00 - $195,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
