Partner — Regional Strategy & Investment Planning (North America)

About the role

IMan Investment is appointing a Partner for Regional Strategy & Investment Planning covering North America. You will interpret federal, state and municipal policy environments, identify development opportunities, and translate them into actionable investment theses, partnership pathways and capital allocation priorities. This Partner-level mandate combines public-policy fluency with investment judgement — shaping how IMan engages founders, corporates and institutions across the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Own IMan’s North America regional strategy and multi-year investment planning agenda
• Monitor government policy, industrial incentives, trade frameworks and regulatory shifts that create investable opportunities
• Map sector theses (AI, healthcare, climate, fintech, advanced manufacturing) against regional policy catalysts
• Originate equity investment and strategic partnership opportunities with early-stage and growth companies
• Build relationships with economic development agencies, ecosystem builders and institutional stakeholders
• Produce regional opportunity briefs and recommendations for the investment committee and firm leadership
• Coordinate with Hong Kong and New York teams on cross-border capital, market entry and co-investment paths
• Represent IMan at selected policy, industry and capital forums across North America

Requirements

• 10+ years in venture capital, private equity, corporate strategy, public policy / economic development, or related Partner-track roles
• Demonstrated ability to convert policy and market context into concrete investment or partnership recommendations
• Deep North America network across founders, corporates, advisors and/or government-adjacent institutions
• Strong written strategy materials and board-level communication skills
• Comfort operating as a senior remote / hybrid leader with accountability for regional outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPP or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• Prior US or Canada market leadership experience strongly preferred

Pay

Partner-level compensation with performance and carried / bonus participation as applicable
