About the OpportunityThe hiring organization is seeking a full-time, fully remote Partner Operations Manager based in the United States to lead, develop, and support an operational team focused on healthcare workflows. This role oversees approximately 10 to 12 Partner Operations Associates and Senior Associates, providing continuous coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development. The Partner Operations Manager collaborates closely with Partner Operations Leads to ensure operational teams have the staffing, training, and resources required to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes. Additionally, the role partners with the Head of Partner Operations on hiring, workforce planning, and organizational development while actively engaging in day-to-day team success. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruit, manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 to 12 Partner Operations Associates (prior authorization specialists) and Senior Associates.Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and career development discussions.Support hiring initiatives through candidate interviewing, evaluation, and onboarding.Partner with Lead Partner Operations Associates to drive improvements in quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.Maintain a limited personal caseload of approximately 25% of working time to stay current on operational workflows and payer updates.Monitor team performance metrics to identify trends and coaching opportunities.Oversee scheduling, paid time off, attendance, and day-to-day team support.Manage employee performance concerns and implement targeted development plans.Ensure consistent execution of operational standards and quality benchmarks across the team.Support organizational change management and the adoption of new technologies and automated workflows.Escalate operational and staffing risks to the Head of Partner Operations. Required Qualifications5+ years of healthcare operations experience.2+ years of experience leading or supervising operational teams.Demonstrated experience coaching employees through structured performance management and professional development.Hands-on experience interviewing, evaluating, and onboarding new team members.Strong working knowledge of healthcare payer operations.Demonstrated ability to establish accountability and drive team quality and operational metrics.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across team members, leadership, and external provider stakeholders.Ability to adapt flexibly between manual workflows and technology-enabled operational tools. Preferred QualificationsExperience with athenahealth and/or NextGen electronic health record systems.
